Stormy Morning at Southbank, Brisbane

I had an early meeting in the city and managed to get to South Bank super early for a coffee and to take some photos.

I headed down to the Brisbane River to get this shot looking back over towards the city. It was overcast with some light rain but the sun still poked through the clouds every now and then. I used an ND400 filter to get a long exposure to calm the water and smooth out the clouds.

While I was photographing the city there were many runners and walkers getting about. One guy in particular ran past and then ran back to compliment me on my "pro" camera and proceeded to ask if I could take his photo on his iPhone with the city as a backdrop, Sure ok, I accepted and he struck a pose.

Does this happen very often to other photographers out there?
